Born in
Duncan Hofland was born in November 2002 in Zoetermeer – The Netherlands, just 2.5 laps of the Nordschleife (roughly 50 km) away from the racetrack in Zandvoort. Duncan loved visiting Zandvoort to watch DTM & GT3 races in the past and is looking forward to his first F1 visit in the near future. The passion for racing began when he started karting at 7 years old up until the age of 14. During these years behind the wheel he quickly found his talent for racing. The competitive drive of this young sim talent could not be contained by go-karting alone so Duncan decided to play tennis as well.
Racing
The spark plug to reignite Duncan’s racing ambitions was Daan Stots, a race car driver & instructor who sold his first sim rig to Duncan’s father so it could be gifted for Duncan’s 17th birthday. This time the racing seat was accessible from the convenience of his own home, which meant more hours of practice in a day. This led to Duncan earning the second place in Season 28 of PSGL F1 on playstation in 2020.
His passion for modern & highly technical tracks pushes the Abu Dhabi track to the top of his favorites list which he hopes to visit for an F1 Race in the near future. However, in order to live his dream he will have to focus on all other tracks as well as Duncan’s five year plan is to become the world champion in F1 Esports. The first step towards this dream goal is to become a professional Esports driver and make the switch to PC competitions in 2022.
Ambitions & Goals
Just 21 years old, the rising star of Duncan Hofland can only go up. Alongside pursuing a university degree Duncan will train with other esports talents at the H20 Rabobank Esports Campus, where he has been selected to participate in the Esports Talent Training program. Yet another race Duncan managed to qualify for as 160 ambitious Esports athletes signed up this year and only 20 made the cut.

Head to head with Jessica Hawkins at Whilton Mill
In the month of February in the year 2022, Duncan experienced a go-karting adventure at the prestigious Whilton Mill circuit alongside his colleagues from Aston Martin Cognizant Esports. The occasion was further graced by the presence of a special guest, Jessica Hawkins, an Aston Martin ambassador and stunt driver for the James Bond film franchise.
Astonishingly, Duncan showcased his exceptional skills by achieving the fastest lap time during the qualifying rounds, setting the stage for an exciting race ahead. Meanwhile, Jessica opted to start from the back of the pack. Despite encountering a few initial challenges, she swiftly overtook her competitors, eventually engaging in battles with Duncan himself.
Regrettably, fate intervened as Jessica was forced to retire from the race due to technical issues with her kart. Nevertheless, the encounter proved to be a remarkable experience for Duncan. The competitive spirit shared on the track undoubtedly made this event a memorable chapter in Duncan’s racing journey.
Joining Aston Martin Aramco Esports

Having reached the finals of this year’s F1 Esports Pro Exhibition and after finishing third in PSGL’s second tier F1 Championship, Duncan already has plenty of high level sim racing experience under his belt and will play a key role as we aim to maximise our potential across the current season and build for future success.
Duncan Hofland signs with Monaco based manager Daan Stots
Professional networker and former race car driver & instructor Daan Stots and Duncan Hofland join forces to push Duncan’s career up in the competitive world of Sim Racing.
